Entrepreneurs take on greater than normal risk for a greater than normal reward and are responsible for running activities and time for results.
Seems like that fits sales reps too!
And It's time to realize that if you don't do anything different, your business won't produce differently for you in the future, and neither will your sales career. I've heard people argue that they will "try harder", but 0x0=0, it doesn't matter if you change one of those 0s to another number, you'll still receive the same results.
I know I said I'd include the secret to upgrading your business or life, so are you ready?
This is something I learned from Tony Robbins, and it's that the mind already has the exact answers that you need, if you just take time to ask!
So today I'm encouraging you to ask yourself how you can upgrade your life. Upgrades to your business, or your sales skills require an investment. You can invest time or money, but you have to invest something.
This means that you can't continue to put everything back into immediate-rewards.
Speaking from personal experience, I spent the first two years of my business taking all the rewards (I.e. finances) and putting them into personal items. I paid down debt, purchased a couple things I'd been wanting, and started stocking it aside for "emergency funds."
Towards the end of 2016 I began to realize that I couldn't keep doing that – it was important to invest in how I could increase the results from my company, or we'd continue to keep growing at the same rate we were currently growing at – which, while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't the result I was looking for.
Once I started putting funds into investment purposes (the first two things I invested in were the first annual GROW Retreat and an event for me to attend that cost nearly as much as the GROW Retreat!), then I invested my time into building Scheller University (and eventually, had to invest money there too!) and as I re-focused on investing time and money, Scheller Enterprises began to take huge leaps forward.
Because of those decisions, my entire company has shifted and it has catapulted me into a new level of operation as my company is running itself and making money for itself while I focus on taking care of my one-on-one coaching clients.
