The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I've been selling all my life. I knew that the only way I would get what I wanted was if I found out what everyone else wanted and made sure we all were going to get what we wanted.
In that capacity, I've been following the sales method I teach since I was a child and I encourage you to do the same when it comes to your life and your business.
First:
First step is always to build trust with them. They have to like you and the more they like you, the easier they are to close.
Second:
Next, it's vital to determine what they want to accomplish. When you figure out how to get them what they want, they will almost always get you what you want as well!
Third:
Once you know what they want, you have to show them how giving you what YOU want will also give them what they want. This is known as sharing the benefits. My mom didn't agree to take me to the barns because I offered to make dinner for her and because she knew I'd be in a better mood. She agreed to take me to the barns because it saved her time down the road and made for a better atmosphere around the house.
Finally, I had to remember to ask for the close and handle any objections she might have for me.
Your entire business revolves around helping other people get what they want! If they get what THEY want, they will help you get what YOU want!
