Let's be honest for a second....
Most of us know what to do…we just aren’t great about actually going out and doing it.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and it gets ridiculously hard to keep track of what all is going on and what I’m supposed to be doing sometimes between working ON my business, IN my business, WITH multiple other businesses (and in multiple positions)…Oi!
I’d guess I’m not alone in having found myself at the end of the month wondering how another 30 days elapsed without much progress!
So I added one meeting to my calendar.
Once a week I sit down with my One Page Business Plan and review my baseline.
It’s pretty basic. My baseline is a list of the items that NEED to get executed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis….but have a way of slipping through the cracks. For example, you might need to add a reminder to take a lunch break if you are noticing that failure to take lunch breaks is negatively impacting you.
Here’s the hard part – you can only choose 9 items.
This forces you to focus on what matters MOST!
And once a week, you check in to see if you have plans to accomplish the once a month items, and if you did accomplish the weekly items.
I only allow one quarterly item on my list by the way: a retreat for business work! Because this has a HUGE tendency to not get done, but I’ve learned is vital to continued growth for my business! Want to join us at our big retreat in January? Check it out Here!
