Sometimes, it's unintentional!
I’ve talked to a lot of people so far this year and I’ve found that there’s an awfully large percentage of these individuals who have set nearly identical goals to the goals they set last year.
It seems shocking…but there’s a myriad of reasons. Some people set super aggressive goals and couldn’t achieve them, some people set goals but then got distracted by life circumstances, some people just gave up half-way through the year. I personally have re-set a couple of the same goals I set last year that I got off-focus on because all of my goals were so big, several of them fell by the wayside.
Where ever you’re at, first of all, know that there’s no judgement for setting the same goals. What I want to talk with you about today is something far different. What you are DOING to achieve those goals. While there may be no shame in trying to achieve the same goal you tried for last year (at least you’re trying!), you have to do something different than you tried last year. If you continue to try the same thing, work the same ideas, you’ll keep getting the same results.
What are you doing different this year? And please don’t tell me “focusing more” because it’s not the focus that’s the problem…that’s always indicative of a much larger problem: the disinterest in the actual achievement of the goal.

But force yourself out of your comfort zone. Force yourself to do something different so you can get different results.
